Are You Grateful?

This week has been a week of reflection for me. Normally, I’m on autopilot working a full-time job and writing at night. I am on the go so much, I hardly ever stop to really take in all I have to be thankful for. I’m grateful for my kids. They’re happy and healthy. I have working limbs, and no major health issues as I turn 40. I had a minor issue with my thyroid last winter. I was faced with the possibility of having to take medication. A few months later, I went to the doctor. She said my thyroid was fine. My mother died at age 27, and here I am, approaching 40. I am eternally grateful.

As writers, we rarely think of how remarkable our minds are. We’re able to build worlds and even human beings from our imagination. When I stumbled upon writer’s block, I write down things down I’m grateful for to stir up ideas.

Here is what I’m grateful for:

My kids

My family

My friends

Bookstores

Books

Coffee

Cake

Apple pie

Mexican food

My creative mind

Dogs

What are you grateful for?

  1. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?
